RGMotorsport’s research and development team has burnt the midnight oil, scoured the planet for ideas and information, and experimented, tuned, and tweaked for literally dozens of hours on our all-wheel-drive dynamometer to turn our Golf7 R into a reliable, street-legal, giant-killing rocketship.
And a rocketship it is. Tarlton’s timing system doesn’t lie and last time out we demolished the quarter-mile in 11.07 seconds, hitting 100 km/h in a little over three seconds and crossing the finish line at exactly 200 km/h! This despite an engine with stock internals, a stock DSG gearbox – apart from a transmission oil cooler – and on a blistering hot Highveld day.
