LET'S GET DOWN TO THE DETAIL:
Your warranty covers the repair and/or replacement of components, specifically listed under the “Components Covered” section, arising from the mechanical and/or electrical failure during the cover period of your warranty and is subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions set out herein. All repair work must be authorised in advance and must be carried out by the Authorised RGMotorsport Dealer as recommended by the Administrator in the “Claim Procedure” section.
- Engine: All internal lubricated components.
- Gearbox / Transmission: (Manual / Automatic) All internal lubricated components (including torque converter, flex plate and transmission sensors).
- Differential: All internal lubricated components and diff actuators / sensors (internal and external).
- Transaxle: All internal lubricated components and actuators / sensors.
- Differential Lock: All internal components and actuators/sensors (internal and external).
- Turbo Assembly / Supercharger: Original manufacturer or RGM fitted turbocharger, intercooler, superchargers and boost control valve only. Also known as wastegate valve.
- Propshaft & Driveshaft: U-joints and centre bearings.
- Braking System: Master cylinder, servo unit, wheel cylinders and ABS control unit, all sensors, park brake actuators, electronic, handbrake actuator and vacuum pump (excluding all friction materials).
- Steering Mechanism: All internal components of the steering box, steering rack, power steering pump, column shaft, bearings joints, steering lock and sensors.
- Fuel System: Mechanical and electrical fuel pumps, injectors, fuel injection control, sensor units, intake manifold flap motor, throttle body (separate TPS unit) and fuel flap actuators integration relay (excluding all calibration and serviceable components and any incorrect or contaminated fuel).
- Cooling System: Water pump, welsh plugs, thermostat, thermos-switch, heater radiator, gearbox, engine oil cooler and auxiliary water pump.
- Electrical Components: Alternator, starter motor, front and rear windscreen wiper motors, start switch, window mechanisms (electrical and manual) and electric seat motors.
- Electronic Ignition: Distributor and coil packs.
- Management System: Engine, VVT motor, transmission, body control management units, crankshaft sensor, camshaft sensor and lambda (O2) sensor only.
- Air Conditioner: Compressor and condenser only. Will re-gas in the event of a major component failure.
- Suspension: Upper and lower wishbones with associated ball joints, steering links, bushes, springs, pneumatic air suspension/shocks, air suspension pump, compressor and sensors are covered against mechanical failure.
- Cambelt Failure: Cambelt and tensioner (excluding routine maintenance).
- Clutch: Clutch plate, pressure plate, clutch cable, clutch fork, master and slave cylinder, release bearing, pilot bearing and flywheel are covered against mechanical failure only.
- Wheel Bearings: All wheel bearings are covered.
- Casings: Engine block, cylinder head, gearbox, differential, drive unit, inlet and exhaust manifolds are covered.
- Alarms and Immobilisers: Original Manufacturer fitted units only.
- Overheating: Breakdown as a result of overheating.
- Catalytic Converter/Emission: Catalytic converter only, DPF Diesel particulate filter are covered against mechanical failure only.
- Central Locking: Pump and door actuator only. Original Manufacturer fitted units only.
- Electrical Sunroof Motor: Original Manufacturer fitted units only.
- Entertainment System: LCD screen (10” or less) RF modulator, digital video disc player, compact disc player and power converter (applicable only to original Manufacturer fitted units).
- Viscous & Electrical Fan Motors: Engine cooling only. Original Manufacturer or RGMotorsport fitted units only.
- GPS Navigation System: Navigation display unit, navigation control module and navigation system wiring harness (applicable only to factory fitted units).
- Phone System: charger, cradle, microphone and speakers (applicable only to original Manufacturer fitted units).
- Electric Mirrors: Motor only.
- Transponder Key and Ignition Lock: Original Manufacturer fitted unit only and functional failure only.
EXCLUSIONS
Your Warranty does not cover:
- Any further or additional loss resulting from the primary cause of failure of a covered component or part;
- Any parts not specified under the “Components Covered” section;
- Any engine, gearbox, differential, driveshaft or sideshaft, where the vehicle has been fitted with Nitrous Oxide Conversion;
- Any repairs undertaken without the prior authorization of the Administrator;
- Any damage caused by theft, hi-jacking, an accident, misuse or neglect;
- Any standard services and service parts required during routine maintenance;
- Any repairs, should it be discovered that the odometer has been disconnected or tampered with;
- Any gradual reduction in operating performance commensurate with the age and kilometres covered by the vehicle;
- Any claims for repair, replacement or alterations not accompanied by a valid, fully completed and detailed VAT invoice;
- Any mechanical and/or electrical failure which is recoverable under any other insurance warranty;
- Any loss or damage resulting from any water, foreign substances, incorrect or contaminated fuel, defective products or poor workmanship;
- Any cause of breakdown, in the opinion of the Administrator acting on behalf of the Insurer that was evident prior to the effective date of your Warranty;
- Any oil leaks of any nature and/or damage caused as a result thereof;
- Any hoses, pipes, auxiliary belts, fan blades and CV rubber boots or dust covers;
- Any re-gassing of the air conditioner;
- Any taxi’s, rental vehicles or rebuilt vehicles (Code 3);
- Any further modifications to your modified vehicle as it will void the standard RGMotorsport Inclusive Warranty;
- Participation in any form of formal or informal motoring competitions, “track day’s” or where abuse of your modified vehicle is detected as it will void your RGMotorsport Inclusive Warranty;
- Wear and tear is not covered by your Warranty.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Your Policy covers the primary cause of failure only; any further or additional damage is not covered.
- These terms and conditions shall also incorporate, as express terms and conditions, all the contents of your Warranty, which you will be deemed to have read.
- It is expressly agreed and declared that the Administrator, acting on behalf of the Insurer, will be released from all liability and obligations under your Warranty if the terms and conditions of your Warranty are not fully complied with.
- All claims must be reported to the Administrator immediately. In the event of a breakdown after hours, over a weekend or a public holiday the claim must be reported to the Administrator on the next working day. Failure to do so may invalidate the claim.
- All claims documentation must be received by the Administrator within 30 days of the date of completion of the repairs; otherwise they will not be accepted.
- Your Warranty will be cancelled in the event of excessive claims within your Warranty duration.
- You must service the vehicle as per the requirements defined in the “Service Requirements” section. Failure to comply will invalidate your Warranty.
- Your Warranty is in addition to, and does not detract from, any contractual rights under Statute or Common Law.
- You must take all reasonable steps to maintain your vehicle and keep it in a proper and efficient state of repair and in the event of any mechanical and/or electrical failure you must use all reasonable means to protect the vehicle from further loss or damage.
- In no case whatsoever will the Administrator, acting on behalf of the Insurer, be liable to make any payment in respect of any mechanical and/or electrical failure after the expiration of 3 months from the occurrence of the mechanical and/or electrical failure.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that, in the case of diesel vehicles, the diesel pump is calibrated as per Manufacturer’s specifications. A failure resulting from incorrect calibration will result in rejection of the claim.
- Any engine failure claims should be referred to RGMotorsport for repairs.
- All signed invoices must be submitted to the Administrator.
2. JURISDICTION, CURRENCY AND DISPUTES
Your warranty is valid only within the territorial limits of South Africa. All payments will be made in the currency of South Africa. Your warranty will be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa whose courts will have jurisdiction in any dispute arising under your warranty.
3. FRAUD
Should you or anyone acting on your behalf, knowingly or otherwise, commit a fraudulent act or attempt to obtain a benefit under your Warranty by improper means, all benefits will immediately cease and your warranty will be cancelled. There will be no refund of any kind.
4. TRANSFERABILITY
In the event that you sell your vehicle, your warranty may be transferred to a subsequent owner, provided your warranty is still valid with an updated service history. This request must be submitted in writing (including the new owner’s information) to the Administrator, subject to approval. Your warranty may not be transferred from one vehicle to another.
5. CLAIM PROCEDURE
In the event of a mechanical and/or electrical failure which is likely to result in a claim, you must advise the Administrator telephonically on the numbers provided. The Administrator will recommend an Authorised RGMotorsport Dealer in your area who have conformed to the stringent requirements of the Administrator’s quality control panel. You may choose the authorised RGMotorsport Dealer. All repair work must be authorised in advance by the Administrator and must be carried out by an authorised RGMotorsport Dealer.
Failure to obtain prior authorisation before repair work has been completed will invalidate your claim.
Information necessary when reporting a claim:
- Owner’s name;
- Warranty number;
- Current odometer reading on your vehicle;
- Nature of mechanical failure/breakdown (failure, cause, remedy);
- Address where the vehicle can be inspected;
- Service records and/or invoices.
Should it be necessary to disassemble any component to establish the cause or extent of the damage, and whether there is any liability under your Warranty, the cost for the disassembly to ascertain the cause of failure will be for your own account in the event that the claim is not covered.
The Administrator reserves the right to inspect your vehicle or failure before authorisation is given.
After the work has been completed by the Authorised RGMotorsport Dealer, you must inspect the vehicle so as to ensure that the service work is satisfactory and complete in all respects.
Please ensure that the Authorised RGMotorsport Dealer submits all repair invoice(s) signed by you to the Administrator via email, fax or post within 30 days after the repairs are completed, failing which the claim will not be considered.
Should your claim be rejected, you are entitled to receive a full explanation from the Administrator.
6. CLAIM LIMIT
The individual claim limit that applies to your Warranty is clearly stipulated under the “Limits of Liability” section.

Claim Limits (including VAT)
The maximum amount payable per claimable occurrence for each item is clearly reflected in the “Limits of Liability”.
Any number of failures that occur or reported simultaneously will be treated as one claim. In this instance, the liability will not exceed the amount of the major component benefit.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
1. ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
- In the event of a breakdown, the Administrator will arrange and pay for the following benefits, provided that the service was arranged by the Administrator.
- Roadside Assistance can be contacted on 0860 00 9111.
1. Effective date and duration
- Your Roadside Assistance benefit effective date and duration is the same as the effective date and duration of your Policy.
2. Benefits
- Flat Tyre Assistance: - If your vehicle's spare tyre is inflated and serviceable, it will be installed to replace a flat tyre. When a serviceable spare tyre is not available, towing will be provided under the towing benefit. (A maximum of R 500.00 will apply).
- Battery Jump-Start: - If your vehicle's battery is problematic, the service provider will jump-start your vehicle. (A maximum of R 500.00 will apply).
- Towing Service: - If your vehicle breaks down and requires towing or roadside service, the Administrator is there to help. A towing operator will be appointed to tow your vehicle to the nearest Authorised RGMotorsport Dealer.
- In the event of the tow taking place after hours, your vehicle will be stored in safe storage for the evening. (A maximum of R 1 000.00 will apply).
- Car Lockout Service: - In the event of keys being locked inside your vehicle, a locksmith will be appointed to unlock the vehicle. Note that this service excludes faulty immobilisers. (A maximum of R 500.00 will apply).
- Emergency Fuel Delivery: - If the vehicle runs out of fuel, a limited supply of 10 litres will be delivered, to enable you to reach the nearest service station. The Administrator will cover a limit of R500 for the call out fee but excludes the cost of fuel. (Costs for your account).
- Message Relay Service: - The Administrator will relay a message to a family member, friend or colleague in the Republic of South Africa in the event of a breakdown and/or accident or when you need directions.
- Direction Service: -The Administrator understands the importance of planning your trip or asking for directions when needed. We, therefore, bring you all the information you will require to ensure that your trip or direction routing will be hassle-free.
The Administrator will:
- Direct the caller to their destination using an electronic mapping facility.
- Location of incident sites in relation to landmarks, available response units and other active events.
- Inform the caller of the shortest routes, fewest intersections or one-way streets.

- (A maximum of R 1 000.00 will apply).
- Car Lockout Service: - In the event of keys being locked inside your vehicle, a locksmith will be appointed to unlock the vehicle. Note that this service excludes faulty immobilisers. (A maximum of R 500.00 will apply).
- Emergency Fuel Delivery: - If the vehicle runs out of fuel, a limited supply of 10 litres will be delivered, to enable you to reach the nearest service station. The Administrator will cover a limit of R500 for the call out fee but excludes the cost of fuel. (Costs for your account).
- Message Relay Service: - The Administrator will relay a message to a family member, friend or colleague in the Republic of South Africa in the event of a breakdown and/or accident or when you need directions.
- Direction Service: -The Administrator understands the importance of planning your trip or asking for directions when needed. We, therefore, bring you all the information you will require to ensure that your trip or direction routing
- will be hassle-free.
The Administrator will:
- Direct the caller to their destination using an electronic mapping facility.
- Location of incident sites in relation to landmarks, available response units and other active events.
- Inform the caller of the shortest routes, fewest intersections or one-way streets.
