RGMotorsport has been supercharging a wide variety of vehicles, engine types and sizes and one of our most popular supercharger kits is for the Toyota 4.0-litre V6 popular in the Toyota Land Cruiser, FJ Cruiser, Prado as well as the new (Revo) and previous shape Hilux (Vigo) as well as the previous and current Fortuner.
The need for supercharging these engines came about because owners wanted better performance when towing heavy loads like a caravan or boat and better economy in that kind of driving situation. Another benefit is the ability to quickly and safely overtake slower traffic even when heavily laden and with our added power and torque it makes those passes much easier and safer for all.
Our 327kW RGM Supercharger upgrade has become immensely popular and the owner of the vehicle featured in this video added our ceramic-coated exhaust manifolds to his full Techniflow stainless steel exhaust system - a subdued but satisfying exhaust tone as you will hear in the video - which is what the customer requested. He also opted for our Desert air intake option on these supercharger upgrades. The vehicle was also fitted with bigger wheels and tyres and easily handles any terrain thrown at it thanks to 327kW/545Nm compared to the standard 175kW and 376Nm.
